Welcome the new Village Place Brookhaven and Brookhaven Village, two new mixed-use communities with a mass of new shops, restaurants, and residences. Brookhaven Village is trying its best to rejuvenate an area of Peachtree Industrial Blvd just south of Oglethorpe University. As one of Atlanta’s newest mixed-use communities, Brookhaven Village, is going to rival any mixed-use community in the Atlanta real estate market with over 50 acres of retail and residences. This is your true definition of live, work, and play. Brookhaven Village will include over 150,000 square feet of office space, 1,500 Atlanta homes, and 600,000 square feet of retail! With 15 new Atlanta restaurants and a five screen movie theater with upscale dining, residents will never have to leave their “little” 50 acre haven.
The focus for both Brookhaven Village and Village Place Brookhaven is to keep your typical chain stores to a minimum and instead bring boutique and local retailers in. The developers have the vision to create a town center in which Atlanta home owners and business owners support each other and are responsible for the success of both developments. The mixed-use communities will have more of a local feel in which people can visit several times a week just to mix and mingle with their “neighbors”.
Village Place Brookhaven is going to be about a 1/5 the size of Brookhaven Village, yet the concept and vision is much the same. Developer Dan Woodley says he’s creating “Downtown Brookhaven”. It will cover a 5 acre site just across the street from Village Park Place. Village Place will only have 52 residences and 35,000 square feet of retail, and 20,000 square feet of office space. However, knowing the Atlanta real estate market and area of Brookhaven very well, I am confident it will sell out and lease up quickly as it truly is in the heart of all the action.
Village Place and Brookhaven Village offer the only thing that the South was lacking in my opinion – and now it’s here! You can truly finish up your work day at 5, step out your office door and grab a bite to eat at the local deli next door, then walk a couple more feet to your in-town Atlanta home. It might take a while because you’re having to stop and talk to all your neighbors… but isn’t that what life is about? Bringing neighbors and friends back together shouldn’t be a “novel” idea, but it is, and it’s catching on. In the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, we forgot to meet our neighbors, or we were sitting in traffic on 285 on our way home from work. Village Place and Brookhaven Village will transform Brookhaven as we know it today. The charm, the ambiance, the retail, and the homes all just stepped things up a notch in Atlanta.
As your Atlanta Real Estate Expert, the residences of Brookhaven couldn’t ask for anything better. They will reap the benefits from all the new real estate developments both financially and socially.
If you know of someone who just moved from the Northeast and is looking for a charming place to live be sure to send them our way.
